FAQ
What is a frame kit from Redneck Bikes?
Frame, Oil Tank, Rear Axle, Axle Covers, Lower Engine Mounts, Control mounts, Top Engine mount, Battery tray, Pre-mounted Gas Tank, Rear Fender and Seat Pan (Also seat springs on the Bobber). All kits will include your choice of tire size, available in: 180, 200, 250, 300 and 330. All frames are made from dom steel tubing .134 -.156 wall, tig welded by hand and limited lifetime warranty. Our Redneck frames got all the right documentation you would need for a frame change.
How much does a Redneck Bikes frame or frame kit cost?
There are some variations depending on what frame or frame kit you choose. Each frame will match your requirements, and therefore we will do an estimate for each build. We are not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. Also keep in mind that we are one of few which got all the right documentation on our frames that you need for a frame change.
How much does a Redneck Bikes cost, built by your shop?
Each bike will be different, depending on your requirements, but if you are serious, we are happy to make an estimate for you.
Can I import a new or used bike from US and rebuild with a Redneck Bikes frame?
Yes, you can use any imported bike to rebuild. It is extremely important that the papers/numbers on any import bike match. You have to pay tax (moms) and have to be in “biltilsynets” system before you start the process and apply for a frame change.
Can I change frame on any original Buell or Harley I have today?
Basically yes, but we don’t recommend to rebuild any bike newer than 2003. The EØS rules from 2003 will decide pretty much how you are allowed to rebuild your bike after that.
Can I use a Redneck Bikes frame on any other motorcycle than a Harley or Buell?
Yes, we can basically deliver a frame and frame documentation for any motorcycle, but then we would need the engine from your donor bike for all the right measures.
Can I buy a frame from you, and build everything myself?
Yes, you can do that. A frame kit which we have set up, is some of the nearest you will get a bolt on.
I have a bike, which is already rebuilt, and approved by “biltilsynet”, can I then rebuild with a Redneck Bikes frame?
No, then you are locked to the frame you already have.
Can I buy a new or used engine and use in a Redneck Bike?
No, by law that would be a complete new build and not a rebuild. A bike is basically categorized in two main parts, frame and engine. You can apply to change only one of these.
How long does it take from I order a frame to I get it?
Usually it takes from 2 – 3 weeks for a frame and 3 – 4 weeks for a frame kit. If you have special requirements or want a “one of a kind” gas tank, it might take a bit longer.
If you are going to build the bike for me, how much time are we talking about?
Well, that depends on the bike and your requirements. We can deliver from our co-workers in both Norway and Sweden. We can estimate the time more easily when we know what you are looking for.
